Australia the movie box office update:
Australia is still the number one movie in Australian cinemas. Box office figures are $14.6 million and counting. In the United States, the movie is ranked at number three, raising $USD32.9 million at the US box office as of Wednesday.
Although Australia missed out on receiving a Golden Globe nomination, the movie received another accolade in the US today, being named the ‘most travel-inspiring movie of 2008’ by Budget Travel magazine. The story, which features practical travel tips and shows readers how they can have cinematic moments on their next trip, has also been published in the travel section of major US website MSNBC which has an estimated 2.1 million monthly visitors.
