In the past ten months almost 2,000 not-for-profit and community organisations across Australia have received over $25 million worth of software donated by Microsoft. By the end of June, Microsoft will have donated in excess of $30 million of software to Australian organisations serving our community. This would represent an increase over 2009 of more than 17%.
This has been an economically challenging year and many community organisations have seen increased demand for their services. Microsoft’s software donation program assists registered not-for-profit organisations and disadvantaged communities better access information technology and thereby connect with the people they serve and provide services in a effective and efficient manner.
This is an inclusive program administered through our not-for-profit technology partner Connecting-Up-Australia. Further information and applications can be accessed and lodged online at www.donortec.org/donors/microsoft
